It has become somewhat of a tradition that when it is Father's Day, then it is time to go explore! School is out and the weather is good. Last year the kids and I explored some old French forts in Haiti, but this year we traded in the beach and sun for some Virginian mountain air! We made our way up to Hidden Valley Wildlife Management Area and nearly had the place to ourselves. It was so quiet and peaceful! I have always loved this place, and took the kids on some of the trails that I used to hike. Even taught them a few things about rock climbing! So glad we came up here!
Happy Father's Day all you dads out there!
